Destillery Smuk
Vukojević Distillery is a family-owned company from the Rasina district in Serbia, producing high-quality rakija under the SMUK brand since 2013. The family's tradition of rakija production dates back to 1895, when their ancestor Vukoje settled at the foothills of Mount Kopaonik, drawn by the natural beauty and wealth of the area.
The distillery offers a selection of traditional Serbian rakijas, including:
- SMUK Šljiva: Made from handpicked Čačanska Rodna and Stanley plums, aged for at least three years in oak barrels, imparting a rich aroma and balanced flavor.
- SMUK Dunja: A quince rakija with a refined, noble scent, produced using traditional methods from carefully selected quinces from the Vukojević family's own orchards.
- SMUK Loza: A grape brandy obtained by distilling fermented grapes sourced exclusively from the family's vineyards.
The distillery's orchards are located on the eastern slopes of Mount Kopaonik, at altitudes ranging from 300 to 800 meters. The favorable climate and fertile soil contribute to the exceptional quality of the fruit grown. The fruits are hand-harvested at full ripeness to ensure a satisfactory level of natural sugars.
Vukojević Distillery places great emphasis on preserving traditional production methods, combining them with modern technologies to ensure the highest quality of their products. Their dedication to producing natural and pure rakija has earned the SMUK brand recognition in both local and international markets.
